Registering for Pre-K

The 2025-26 MNPS Pre-K application is open. Review the 1-2-3 Steps for applying for Pre-K.
Registering for Kindergarten
All incoming kindergarten students must register for school, even if they attended a Metro Nashville Public School Pre-K program or if they are using the school options process. All families can register online or make an appointment at an enrollment center.

Current MNPS Pre-K Families
Current MNPS Pre-K families will be able to register for kindergarten through the MNPS Parent Portal beginning in January of the year they are eligible to attend. This registration option will allow current Pre-K families to have their information auto populate into the kindergarten registration form. Please note that kindergarten registration through Parent Portal will only be provided to current MNPS Pre-K Students.
New MNPS Students
New MNPS students will need to register for kindergarten through the Online Registration Portal. If you need kindergarten registration assistance, please contact the Family Information Center (615) 259-INFO, schedule an appointment with their nearest MNPS Enrollment Center and/or English learner families can contact the EL Office at 615-259-8608.
