School Hours
Daily Schedule for All Students (PreSchool - 5th Grade)
- Full Days: 8:10 a.m. - 3:10 p.m.
- Half-Days: 8:10 a.m. - 11:40 a.m.
Arrival & Dismissal
- Arrival Time: 7:55 a.m.
- Students must be in class by 8:10 a.m.
- Late Arrival: A guardian must sign in students reporting after 8:10 a.m. in the office.
- Dismissal Time: 3:10 p.m.
No Supervision for Students
- There is no supervision of students before 7:55 a.m. and after 3:25 p.m.
- A guardian must wait with their student until doors open at 7:55 a.m.
- Students must be picked up daily by 3:25 p.m.

Dress Code
All students follow the dress code at Hull-Jackson.
All clothing must be free of holes, rips, or tears. Short, skirts, and dresses must be at least fingertip length.
Parents will be notified if their student reports to school out of dress code, and the student must change into appropriate attire before returning to class.
Shirts/Tops
- Collars: All shirts must have short or long sleeves with a collar (polo, dress-style, peter pan, or turtleneck).
- Colors: All shirts must be solid white, navy blue, or gold-yellow.
- Spirit Wear: Students may wear Hull-Jackson Spirit Wear shirts with standard school attire bottoms.
- Sweaters & Sweatshirts: Sweater, sweatshirts, and hoodies must be solid white, navy blue, or gold-yellow without graphics.
Pants/Bottoms
- Boys & Girls: All pants and shorts must solid navy blue or khaki.
- Girls: Capri pants, skirts, skorts, dresses or jumpers may be navy blue or khaki.
- Not Allowed: Leggings, cargo pants, sweatpants, and denim jeans of any color are not permissible.

Your child's teacher may have a wish list they will share with you after school starts.
TN Sales Tax Holiday
Eligible items for the state's tax free holiday include clothing, school supplies and computers. Get the details on goods and exemptions on the Tennessee Department of Revenue website.
Kindergarten & 1st Grade Students
- Kindergarten and 1st grade students will receive an Every Student Known (ESK) Box on the first day of school. Each box includes essential school supplies, such as crayons, pencils, scissors, glue sticks, and more in partnership with PENCIL Box.
All Students
- A sturdy backpack large enough to fit a standard folder (no rolling backpacks as they do not fit inside of a cubby).
- Crayons
- Colored pencils
- Markers

- Clorox Wipes
- Expo Markers
- Wide Ruled Spiral Notebooks (Only Grades 1-5)
- Pencil Pouch (Grades 4-5)
Preschool & Pre-K
Additionally, primary students will need the following items per licensing requirements:
- 2-inch-thick rest mat (2" x 19" x 44")
- An extra set of school uniforms to keep in the classroom
- A mat cover (crib sheets work well for this) and a blanket (should fit folded in a 2-gallon ziplock bag)

Looby Center
Registration for the upcoming school year opens on Monday, July 27 at the Looby Community Center.
- In-Person Registration Required - Space is Limited
- Ages: 6 - 14
- Monday - Friday: 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
- Partnership with In-House Library & Theater Dept.
- Sports & Recreational Activities

- Location: A form must be on file indicating a student has permission to walk to the Looby Center after school. There is no adult supervision for any walkers.
